2 people injured in 2-vehicle wreck in Madisonville

Two Hopkins County residents were injured when their SUV overturned after a collision at an intersection in Madisonville.

Madisonville Police reported to WMSK News that 54 year old Kenneth Laffoon of Madisonville was driving a pickup truck westbound on East Center Street when he apparently ran a red light at the intersection and hit a SUV driven by 26 year old Cody Korb of Dawson Springs, causing the SUV to overturn onto the passenger side.

According to the report, the passenger in the SUV, 69 year old Perry Howard, had to be extricated from the vehicle through the windshield.

Korb and Howard were transported by ambulance to Baptist Health for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Laffoon was not injured in the wreck.
