2 individuals injured in head-on collision in Henderson County

Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle head-on collision in Henderson County.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 425 and Highway 1299 to the head on collision that involved 65 year old Maurie Luecke of Newburgh, Indiana and 66 year old Edith Suggs of Henderson.

According to authorities, Suggs, who was stopped at a stop sign on Highway 1299, went to make a left turn onto Highway 425 and did not see Luecke and pulled out in front of the SUV, causing the two vehicles to crash head-on.

Deputies say both Suggs and Luecke were transported to Methodist Hospital Henderson County for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
