OWENSBORO, KY (WMSK) – Two juveniles have been charged with arson in connection to a structure fire in Owensboro.
Owensboro Police and the Owensboro Fire Department responded to the 17-hundred block of Virginia Court around 1:40 pm. Wednesday and found a detached garage on fire at an unoccupied home. However, police say a mail carrier, 34 year old Jonathon Masterson of Owensboro, who observed the blaze, received serious burns to his lower extremities when he tried to put the fire out. He was transported to a hospital in Louisville for treatment.
According to the report, detectives charged two male juveniles, ages 13 and 14, with first degree arson.
