A 68 year old Madisonville man was charged with attempted murder last night after he allegedly hit his wife in the head with a hammer.

According to Madisonville Police, officers responded to a 911 call at 338 Murray Street around 8:10 p.m. Saturday and found Roderick Brinkley and his 61 year old wife, Sounderl Brinkley outside with blood on their clothes.
