FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police recognized the promotion of 47 officers throughout the state at a ceremony held Friday in Frankfort. Two lieutenant colonels, five majors, five captains, thirteen lieutenants and twenty-two sergeants were commissioned.
Effective September 1st, 2016:
Major Steven J. Long, Operations Division, Special Enforcement Troop, was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, Operations Division Director.
Major Chad E. White, Administrative Division, Operational Support Troop, was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, Administrative Division Director.
Captain David P. Jude was promoted to Major and transferred from Post 6, Dry Ridge, to the Administrative Division, Professional Support Troop.
Captain Jeremy C. Slinker was promoted to Major and transferred from East Drug Enforcement Special Investigations (DESI) to the Operations Division, Special Enforcement Troop.
Captain Fredrick A. Williams, Jr. was promoted to Major and transferred from the Academy Branch to the Administrative Division, Operational Support Troop.
CVE Captain Derek Shawn Hines was promoted to Major, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Troop.
Lieutenant Jeremy V. Thompson was promoted to Major and transferred from Post 4, Elizabethtown, to the Operations Division, West Troop.
Lieutenant Kevin S. Minor was promoted to Captain and remains at the Aircraft Branch.
Lieutenant Jennifer M. Sandlin, was promoted to Captain and remains at Post 9, Pikeville.
Lieutenant Donald R. Wilson, Jr. was promoted to Captain and transferred from Post 12, Frankfort, to the Academy Branch.
Lieutenant Derek R. Grant was promoted to Captain and transferred from Post 15, Columbia, to the Technical Services Division, Forensic Laboratory Troop.
CVE Lieutenant Nathaniel Day was promoted to Captain and transferred from Region 6, Pikeville, to Region 4, London.
