Despite Periods of Rain, Annual Morganfield Corn Festival Deemed a Success

The annual Morganfield Lions Club Corn Festival was deemed a success again this year, despite periods of rain over the three day event.

That was Union County Tourism Director and long-time Morganfield Lions Club member Paul Monsour who added they are looking forward to the Corn Festival next year.

WMSK News now has some more of the winners from the Corn Festival pageants. They are as follows:

Little Miss – Eliza Jones

1st Runner-Up – Isabella Graham

2nd Runner-up – Zena Estrella

Little Mr. – Case Septer

1st Runner-up – Rylan Pierson

Miss Pre-Teen Corn Festival – Katelyn Riggs

1st Runner-up – Addyson Hogge

2nd Runner-up – Lilly Hibbs

And as previously mentioned, the rain held off for the Corn Festival Parade that was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in downtown Morganfield. According to Kim Humphrey, the parade float winners were as follows:

Best Overall – River View Coal

Antique – Alan Baker

Business – Morganfield Home Center

Religious – Grove Center Faith Chapel

School – UCHS Dance Team
