Motorists traveling on KY 948 in Union County need to be aware a section of the road will be closed today and Tuesday.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd announced around 7:15 this morning that a section of KY 948 will be closed northwest of Morganfield in the Wathen Creek Area between KY 130/North Airline Road and KY 947 to allow use of an excavator for drainage work.
The road closed at 8:00 this morning and is expected to reopen around 3:30 this afternoon. It will also be closed at 8:00 Tuesday morning and reopen around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.
According to transportation officials, there will be no marked detour.
