KYTC NEWS RELEASE
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 9, 2016) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC) Department of Highways District 1 office in Paducah is advising motorists that Chestnut Street will be closed at the intersection with US 62, in Eddyville, Ky. in Lyon County on Tuesday, May 10.
KYTC’s contractor plans to close Chestnut Street from 7 a.m. CDT to 5 p.m. CDT to repair a base failure before the final road surface is installed in anticipation of the US 62 widening project’s completion.
Should motorists need to access Chestnut Street during this time, KYTC suggests turning off US 62 on to Park Avenue and then turning right on to East Dale Street which intersects with Chestnut Street.
