PRINCETON – Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville are investigating a fatal collision that occurred over the weekend in Caldwell County.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department requested state police to investigate a fatal collision that occurred on Cannon Road in Princeton at approximately 8:58 p.m. Friday.
A preliminary investigation revelated that a 17-year-old was operating a utility task vehicle southbound on Cannon Road, when, for unknown reasons, the UTV dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. As the vehicle re-entered the roadway, the operator lost control, causing it to overturn.
The juvenile was pronounced dead while en route to the Caldwell County Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Eathan Garrison.
