Work Zone Lane Restrictions on US 41 Strip at HENDERSON Planned WED & THURS, Oct 12-13

KYTC NEWS RELEASE

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet base repairs along US 41 between the I-69/US 41/KY 425 Henderson Bypass Interchange and the US 41 Twin Bridges on Wednesday & Thursday, October 12 & 13, 2016.

This base repair project will involve spot milling and paving along this 5-mile section of US 41 between about the 12 mile marker and mile point 16.5, including portions of the US 41 Henderson Strip.

The contractor will utilize a moving work zone with activity planned at the following specific locations along the US 41 Corridor:

Northbound
Mile point 16.32-16.39 Both Lanes-Near Grandy’s Restaurant
Mile point 17.13-17.5 Right Lane only-Near Watson Lane
Mile point 17.7-17.8 Both Lanes-Near Audubon Park Entrance

Southbound
Mile point 12.2 – 12.25 Right Lane Only-Between KY 2099/Adams Ln Overpass & Audubon Pkwy Overpass
Mile point 13.69-13.75 Right Lane Only-Near the KY 2084 Underpass
Mile point 16.34-16.5 Both Lanes-Near Grandy’s Restaurant

The contractor plans on working at these specific locations by utilizing a moving work zone between the hours of 7 a.m., CDT, and 5 p.m., on Thursday & Friday.

Motorits should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach this section of US 41 at Henderson each day.

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

Mainteance and cleaning of the US 41 Twin Bridges is expected to be complete by Wednesday. Should that work continue on Wednesday every effort will be made to cooordinate the work zone lane restrctions and the north end of this project area.
