THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS: AN AREA OF MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD EAST ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA THIS AFTERNOON. ACCUMULATIONS
AROUND AN INCH HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN THE CARBONDALE AREA.
SIMILAR AMOUNTS CAN BE EXPECTED EASTWARD ACROSS HARRISBURG…THEN INTO THE EVANSVILLE…HENDERSON…AND
OWENSBORO AREAS.

* TIMING: THE SNOW WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND EARLY THIS EVENING.

* MAIN IMPACT: SLUSHY ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED ON ROADWAYS…ESPECIALLY BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. ALTHOUGH TEMPERATURES ARE NEAR OR JUST ABOVE FREEZING…THE SNOW WILL FALL HEAVILY ENOUGH TO IMPACT TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

* OTHER IMPACTS: VISIBILITY WILL BE OCCASIONALLY AROUND ONE HALF
MILE FOR AN HOUR OR TWO.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
