Traffic Advisory- Lane Restrictionists on Approach to US 41 NB Bi-State Bridge

Traffic ADVISORY

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a NORTHBOUND lane restriction near the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson starting at 9:30 a.m., CDT, TODAY.

The Henderson County Highway Maintenance Crew has been using a boom mower in the median area to cut grass and brush behind the median guardrail at the Kentucky end of the US 41 Twin Bridges. Due to debris being thrown into the passing lane and difficultly reaching all the way to the guardrial, the crew will have to alter tactics. The crew now plans a northbound lane restriction starting at about 9:30 a.m., today, to allow the boom mower to work along the shoulder.

All northbound traffic on the Kentucky approach to the US 41 Twin Bridges will be moved to the right-hand or driving lane starting near the Wolf Hills Road/Stratman Road intersection and extending northward to near the end of the northbound bridge TODAY.

This work zone lane restriction along US 41 near the 19 mile marker is expected to be in place until about 2:00 p.m., today.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
