THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 3 PM CST FRIDAY.

THIS WIND ADVISORY INCLUDES ALL OF SOUTHWEST INDIANA…THE
PENNYRILE REGION OF WESTERN KENTUCKY…AND THE WABASH VALLEY OF SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS.

* TIMING…THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED DURING THE MORNING THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS.

* WINDS…SOUTH WINDS FROM 20 TO 25 MPH WILL BECOME SOUTHWEST. THE
HIGHEST GUSTS WILL BE FROM 40 TO 45 MPH.

* IMPACTS…SMALL TREE LIMBS MAY BE BLOWN DOWN. UNSECURED OUTDOOR
OBJECTS SUCH AS GARBAGE CANS MAY BE BLOWN ONTO ROADS. HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WILL BE DIFFICULT TO HANDLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
REACH 30 MPH OR GREATER FOR LONGER THAN ONE HOUR…OR WIND GUSTS
ARE EXPECTED TO REACH 45 MPH FOR ANY DURATION.
