KYTC: Closure on KY 266 in Western Henderson County on Tuesday, April 5

NEWS RELEASE

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of KY 266 in western HENDERSON County on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

KY 266 will be closed at mile point 0.5 just east of the KY 136 intersection to allow major repairs to a large culvert that has been damaged by flash flooding in recent weeks. This clousre is along KY 266 between Cooper-Cooper Road and Midway Road just east of Smith Mills.

The roadway at this site will be closed at approximately 7:30 a.m., CDT, immediately after the morning school bus run. It is expected to remain closed until about 3:30 p.m., Tuesday.

There will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour via KY 2260.

Approximately 100 vehicles travel this section of KY 266 in an average day.
