NEWS RELEASE
(Mouthcard, KY) – Kentucky State Police, Pikeville Post, is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Pike County during the evening hours of Sunday, March 27, 2016.
The initial investigation indicates that Cory Stiltner, 27 years old of Mouthcard, Kentucky, was traveling west on South Levisa Road in the Mouthcard community. Stiltner lost control of his vehicle and overturned into a ditch. Stiltner was flown from the scene to Pikeville Medical Center. On March 30th, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at PMC by Dr. William Peery. Evidence at the scene indicates Stiltner was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Trooper Jeffery Stumbo.
