The identity of a man killed in a farming accident Tuesday has been released by the Gibson County Coroner, along with the results of an autopsy.

Coroner Barrett Doyle says the autopsy revealed 59 year old Roger Michel of Fort Branch died of asphyxia.

According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, Michel was found unresponsive pinned beneath a tree on County Road 750 South East of US Highway 41 Tuesday afternoon around 4:30. The release says emergency personnel tried to revive the 59 year old man, but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
