HPD: Henderson woman charged for shoplifting and drug possession

Authorities say a Henderson woman was arrested Tuesday for shoplifting and drug possession.

According to Henderson Police, 45 year old Gina Crooks was arrested by an officer who responded to Wal-mart around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday regarding a shoplifting complaint where an asset protection employee stated she witnessed Crooks hide merchandise in her purse. During a search, police reportedly discovered a syringe in Crooks purse along with baggies containing a white substance and several Hydrocodone pills that were not in a container.

Crooks was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for Theft by Unlawful Taking Under $500 (Shoplifting), Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
