As of news time, authorities in Henderson had not released the identity of a driver who was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on I-69 early Sunday morning.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene of the wreck around 3:00 at Adams Lane and I-69 and found a vehicle overturned off the embankment on the west side of the roadway and the driver had been ejected. Authorities say the driver, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Henderson County Coroner’s Office.

As a result of the wreck, police say the I-69 southbound was shut down for approximately 3 hours Exit 78 (Audubon Parkway) to Exit 76 (KY 425).

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Henderson Police Department, Henderson Fire Department, Henderson County EMS and the Henderson County Coroner’s Office.
