Wheatcroft Woman Charged with Traffic & Drug Offenses

Clay, KY (Webster County) – The Kentucky State Police has charged a Wheatcroft woman with traffic and drug-related offenses after conducting a traffic stop.

On Friday, February 19, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police say a trooper observed 44 year old Lisa Pompell, of Wheatcroft, on Cook St. in Clay driving a truck on the wrong side of the road and then ran off the road. During the traffic stop, the trooper determined that Pompell was under the influence of a controlled substance and reportedly found a plastic bag with a crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine on her. During a search of the truck, state police say a glass meth pipe was found under the driver’s seat.

Pompell was lodged in the Webster County Detention Center and charged with Reckless Driving, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense – Meth, DUI 1st Offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
