Three Henderson residents arrested for various charges

Three Henderson residents were arrested on various charges when officers went to serve arrest warrants on two of the subjects and allegedly found meth in the residence.

Henderson Police reported today (Monday) that officers went to the 13-hundred block of Washington Street around 3:00 p.m. Friday regarding active warrants on 29 year old Jeremy Denton and 30 year old Kristin Turner. When police arrived, they say Turner answered the door and stated that Denton had fled out the back door. The woman then gave officers permission to search her home for drugs and police say a container of white crystal like substance was found that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Turner then told police Denton may be at a home on Cottage Avenue.

Upon arrival at the Cottage Avenue residence, authorities say 23 year old Brooke Owens answered the door and stated Denton was not there; however, after Owens gave permission for officers to search her home Denton was found hiding behind the refrigerator.

Turner was arrested on warrants for Theft by Deception Under $500, a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear, and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance over or equal to two (2) grams of meth; Denton was arrested on a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance over or equal to two grams of meth; and Owens was arrested for Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree.

All three subjects were booked into the Henderson County Jail.
