“The Race is On” Exhibit Featured at My Old Kentucky Home April 15-May 31

BARDSTOWN, Ky. – Kentucky horse racing traditions are alive and well at My Old Kentucky Home State Park during April and May.

The park will feature “The Race is On” exhibit from April 15 to May 31, perfect for Kentuckians and their guests.

Jockey silks will be on display from Kentucky’s winningest horse farms, along with a sparkling collection of original coin-silver family julep cups in addition to the recipe for a My Old Kentucky Home Mint Julep—a Derby favorite. Fanciful ladies derby hats, rose blankets, hot-browns, seersuckers and the story of how “My Old Kentucky Home” became the official post parade song of the Kentucky Derby will also be on display.

“My Old Kentucky Home” will be performed on each tour. This exhibit highlighting Kentucky’s most famous fun-filled celebration known as the “fastest two-minutes in sports” isn’t one to be missed.

The exhibit is included in the ticket price for the regular home tour. Adult prices are $10 with discounted pricing available for seniors, children, military, groups and AAA members. My Old Kentucky Home also has a golf course and campground. For more information, call 502-348-3502 or visit www.parks.ky.gov
