Post 16 Graduates Citizens Police Academy Class

(HARTFORD, KY) — On Thursday, December 10, 2015, the Kentucky State Police Post 16 – Henderson graduated eight local people from the post’s Citizen’s Police Academy. The classes were held at the Ohio County Senior Citizen’s Center in Hartford (Ohio County), KY. The nine-week academy started on October 8th and concluded December 10, 2015.

The ceremony was held at the Ohio County Senior Center in Hartford where Captain Todd Kidd, Commander of Post 16-Henderson and Major Robert Shoultz, was on hand to assist Trooper Corey King present the participants with their graduation certificates.

During the course of the nine-week academy, the participants learned about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, traffic stops, criminal investigations, drug investigations, dispatching and Trooper Island. Participants also took part in simulated traffic stops, a mock crime scene and a tour of Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
