Oil Painting Weekend at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park Feb. 26-28

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. – Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park will host an Oil Painting Weekend Feb. 26-28.

Participants will paint a 16×20 inch landscape oil painting using the wet on wet method. Instructor Bonita Mallory is a “Bob Ross” certified instructor.

The cost is $65 for one class or $120 for both. Participants should wear clothes and shoes they don’t mind getting a little paint on and make sure they have room in their vehicle to bring home wet paintings. The paintings will take five to seven days to dry completely.

On Friday night Mallory will paint a demonstration painting for the class participants at 7 p.m. Both classes will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The classes should be over by 4 p.m. Classes are limited to 17 participants, so sign up early. If you want to gift a painting class to a loved one, let us know and we can make a personalized certificate for you.
