Man mowing grass struck, killed by vehicle in Bell County

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (AP) — Authorities say a man driving a riding lawn mower has died after being hit by a van in Bell County.

WYMT-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2bI2Gxk) that Bell County Coroner Jay Steele says 27-year-old Berlin Forest Howard died Monday after being struck by the vehicle.

Howard was working for the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park when he was hit.

Steele says he died from blunt force trauma. An autopsy will be performed.

Officials have not released any further details.
