KSP: Single Vehicle Injury Collision on Interstate 24 in Christian County

KSP POST 2 NEWS RELEASE

Oak Grove, KY (Christian County) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single vehicle, injury-collision that occurred at the 89 mile marker of Interstate 24, on Saturday, January 23, at 8:14 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Brett Smith, Clarksville, Tennessee, was operating a 2004 GMC Jimmy west bound on Interstate 24. Mr. Smith struck a patch of ice and lost control of the vehicle. Mr. Smith’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in the median. A passenger, Young Choi, was transported to Blanchfield Army Hospital via ambulance for treatment

Trooper First Class Michael Dennis is investigating the collision. Kentucky State Police Detective Luis Palmer, the Oak Grove Fire Department and Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
