KSP: Identity released of third body recovered from Ohio River in Owensboro

OWENSBORO, KY (WMSK) – The identity has been released of the female whose body was recovered Thursday morning from the Ohio River near a boat dock in Owensboro.

According to Kentucky State Police, the autopsy identified the woman as 51 year old Darcy L. Hess of Cannelton, Indiana. Police say the investigation is still in the early phases; however, KSP detectives are very confident this particular case is not related to the two other bodies found in the Ohio River on Wednesday.

With the assistance of the medical examiner, evidence obtained and multiple interviews, police say detectives do not suspect foul play in the woman’s death. They indicate detectives are looking into the real possibility that suicide is the likely cause.
