Henderson woman injured in two-vehicle wreck on US-41-South

One person was injured and US-41-South was closed for about 30 minutes after a two vehicle wreck in Henderson County this morning.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports the wreck occurred in front of Roselawn Cemetery around 9:50 when 42 year old David Spurlin of Henderson was driving a SUV behind a vehicle driven by 61 year old Pamela Bowers of Henderson when she slowed to make a left turn into the cemetery and Spurlin’s SUV rear-ended Bower’s vehicle. The impact reportedly caused Bower’s vehicle to run off the road and come to rest on the grass shoulder.

Authorities indicate Bowers was transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital Henderson County for treatment of a head injury.

The sheriff’s office says traffic was stopped both ways for approximately a half-hour while the vehicles were removed and the roadway was cleared of debris.
