LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Police have charged a caregiver with abuse after a central Kentucky mom noticed changes in her son’s behavior and installed a hidden camera.
Media report Lillian White was charged with second-degree criminal abuse in the case and entered a not guilty plea on Tuesday to the charge.
Dale Golden, an attorney for the child’s mother, said Tiffany Fields set up a camera Friday in her Lexington home and the video she captured appears to show White dragging the 4-year-old special needs boy by his feet and sitting on him while changing his diaper.
Golden said the boy has Down Syndrome, heart defects, and epilepsy.
A judge set White’s next hearing for Oct. 13.
