GIBSON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:
On December 13, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the Diplomat Motel located on State Road 57 near State Road 64 in rural Oakland City, Indiana. When officers arrived on scene they discovered evidence of a physical confrontation. Deputy Ben Kiesel of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and Officer Tim Gaines of the Oakland City Police Department opened an investigation into the incident. At the end of the investigation 45 year old, Jade Bruce was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail.
Deputy Kiesel and Officer Gaines filed the following charges on Mr. Bruce:
Public Intoxication
Battery resulting in bodily injury
Disorderly Conduct
Resisting Law Enforcement
Strangulation
Criminal Mischief
Jade Bruce remains in custody on a $750 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
