Tompkinsville-Monroe County Airport Board will receive $171,399 in federal funds for the construction of a 10 unit T-Hanger building and the removal of trees posing an obstruction to a runway approach.

Russellville-Logan County Airport Board will receive $33,884 in federal funds for the design of a perimeter fence and the expansion of an apron to provide additional space for aircraft parking.

“I am pleased to see the Tompkinsville-Monroe County and the Russellville-Logan County Airports receive these important federal funds,” Whitfield said.  “These enhancements at both locations will provide the opportunity for further growth and development and benefit the surrounding regions as well.”
