Webster Co. man charged with 2nd DUI after head-on collision

A Webster County man is facing several charges including wanton endangerment and his 2nd DUI after a head-on collision near Providence over the weekend.

Kentucky State Police reports an investigation into the wreck that occurred Saturday night around 7:00 on Picas Austin Road about four miles east of Providence revealed that 39 year old Terry Martin of Dixon was driving a station wagon when he collided head-on into a vehicle driven by 30 year old Mindy Davis of Providence.

According to police, Davis and her juvenile passenger were transported by ambulance to Baptist Hospital in Madisonville for treatment.

Melton was transported by ambulance to Baptist Hospital for treatment and was then charged with Driving on a DUI Suspended License 1st Offense (Aggravated Circumstances), Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (Aggravated Circumstances) 2nd Offense, second degree Wanton Endangerment, Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, and Failure of Owner to Maintain Insurance 1st Offense.
