The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the man killed in a motorcycle crash Friday morning.

Authorities identified the motorcycle rider as 27 year old Justin Blake of Owensboro and the driver of the bucket truck as 38 year old Peter Magris of Owensboro.

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred around 7:30 Friday morning when Blake was traveling southbound on Reid Road and a bucket truck made a left-hand turn and pulled into the path of the motorcycle, ejecting Blake into the passenger side of the bucket truck. Authorities say CPR was performed at the scene but Blake was pronounced dead at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

The bucket truck driver, who was not injured in the crash, was reportedly cited at the scene for operating a Commercial Vehicle without a CDL and not having a medical certificate in his possession.

The toxicology results conducted on both men are still pending.
