Two local residents are facing drug charges after authorities executed a search warrant at a Morganfield residence.

Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Dame tells WMSK News the Morganfield and Sturgis Police Departments, along with the sheriff’s department, executed the search warrant around 5:30 Monday afternoon at a residence in the 1000 block of Village Square Road in Morganfield. During the search, he indicates authorities found methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia and firearms.

He says authorities obtained the search warrant after the occupants of the home were discovered smoking marijuana with two minor children in the residence.

According to Deputy Dame, 30 year old Randy Fowler Jr. was taken into custody and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine (firearm enhanced), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia; and 46 year old Anita Croft was cited to court for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Dame indicates more charges are expected in this case.
