UPDATE: US 60 E Wreck in Union Co. Claims Life of Henderson Man

WMSK News has obtained more details regarding a two-vehicle wreck that occurred around 6:30 p.m. Friday on US 60 East in Union County.

Union County Sheriff’s Detective Kyle Dame tells WMSK News the wreck claimed the life of 23 year old Nicholas Eliopulos of Henderson.

He identified the female occupant in the vehicle with Eliopulos as 22 year old Emily Chandliss of Morganfield. Detective Dame says the occupant in the second vehicle involved in the crash was 47 year old Samuel Vinroe of Sturgis. Chandliss and Vintoe were teportedly transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. Their condition is unknown.

On Friday night, Morganfield Rescue Squad Chief Rick Wyatt told WMSK News the wreck occurred in front of Sonoco. He says and a female and male were in a vehicle and the male was extricated by the Jaws of Life after being trapped for about 45 minutes. He stated that all three patients were treated on the scene and then transported to area hospitals.

According to Morganfield Fire Chief Rick Millikan, the Morganfield Rescue Squad, Morganfield Fire Department, Union County Fire Rescue, Whispering Meadows Fire Department, Union and Henderson EMS, and the Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, while the Whispering Meadows Fire Department stood by at the Morganfield Fire Station to cover the city.
