Due to rain, the contractor working on night paving along US 41-Alternate/US 60/Green Street in Downtown Henderson has experienced a number of delays.

The contractor plans to continue asphalt paving starting tonight at 7:00 p.m., CDT, and continuing until 7:00 a.m., Friday.

In an attempt to complete asphalt paving through Henderson before the start of school, the contractor will be working around the clock once paving starts at 7:00 p.m., on Friday night, August 3, 2018.

Work will continue through the day on Saturday and into Saturday night, if required. This will mean daytime lane restrictions in addition to night lane restrictions to facilitate the paving effort.

Motorists should be aware that some delays are possible when traveling US 41-Alternate/US 60/Green Street through Downtown Henderson this weekend. Motorists are encouraged to travel US 41 and the KY 425 Henderson Bypass to help reduce traffic along this work zone.

This paving project runs along US 41-Alternate/US 60/Green Street from the Fair Street intersection at US 41-A milepoint 14.4 extending northward to milepoint 17.180 near the US 41/US 60 Cloverleaf, a distance of 2.78 miles through Henderson.

Approximately 26,000tr vehicles travel this section of US 41-Alternate/US 60/Green Street in Henderson in an average day.

Rogers Group is the prime contractor on this $1,112,192 highway improvement project. The contractor will provide timely updates as the work progresses.

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
