UPDATE: Names Released of Webster Co. Victims Involved in Deadly Domestic Violence Dispute

Authorities have released the names of the Webster County married couple involved in a domestic violence dispute that ended with the husband dead and the wife hospitalized.

Webster County Sheriff Frankie Springfield tells WMSK News the husband and wife involved in the dispute were 48 year old Jose Santos-Saravia and 35 year old Vilma Altaro.

According to Sheriff Springfield? a family member in the home on KY 56 West called 911 around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning to report the domestic violence dispute. When the sheriff’a office arrived on the scene Santos-Saravia was found deceased partially inside the back door. He was pronounced dead on the scene by the Webster County coroner.

Sheriff Springfield says Altaro was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health in Madisonville for a head injury. She was then transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville where he indicates she is listed in stable condition at this time.

Five children were inside the home during the domestic violence dispute, and Sheriff Springfield says they were not injured.

The sheriff tells me autopsy on Santos-Saravia’s body will be conducted Thursday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville. Following the autopsy, he says more information will be released.
