Uniontown man charged for fleeing/evading police, resisting arrest, parole violation

Authorities say a Uniontown man tried to flee from officers Wednesday by diving through a glass window in order to avoid arrest for a parole violation.

Uniontown Police report officers and Union County Sheriff’s Deputies tried to serve the warrant on 33 year old Steven Gamboa around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Police say Gamboa tried to flee out the front door of the residence, but it was blocked by officers so he dove through a double plane glass window. He reportedly was tased by officers as soon as he hit the ground, and then he was taken into custody.

Police indicate Gamboa was transported to Methodist Hospital Union County for treatment of lacerations he received from diving through the window.

After his treatment, Gamboa was booked into the Union County Detention Center for a parole violation warrant, first degree fleeing/evading police and resisting arrest.
