A 31 year old Sturgis woman was charged Thursday morning with shoplifting, resisting arrest and other offenses.
Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Randy Thomas and Deputy Lee Chandler responded to the Family Dollar in Sturgis around 10:00 Thursday morning in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, he says the subject was fleeing from the business in a vehicle.
According to Deputy Thomas, 31 year old Brandy Tichenor was lodged in the Union County Detention Center for Theft By Unlawful Taking-Shoplifting Under $500, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest and No Insurance.
