A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans turn lane restrictions at the US 60/KY 425 Bypass intersection at HENDERSON starting Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
The contractor plans to close the US 60 eastbound right turn lane to the KY 425 Henderson Bypass. The contractor plans to close the KY 425 Bypass left turn lane to US 60 westbound. These turn lane closures are expected to be in place for up to two weeks.
These turn lane closures are to facilitate additional work at the US 60/KY 425 Henderson Bypass intersection. Work at this site is part of a larger project to wide US 60 to 4-lanes with a center turn lane from the KY 425 Henderson Bypass & KY 136 intersection at US 60 mile point 8.710 extending westward to milepoint 7.7, a distance of about one mile.
Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Hazex Construction is the prime contractor on this $6,070.770 highway improvement project. The target completion date is October 13, 2017.
