(Cadiz, KY) – A Cadiz man was injured in a rollover wreck Saturday in Trigg County.
Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield was notified by Trigg County Dispatch of a single vehicle collision on March Saturday morning around 9:35 on Beechy Fork Road near Cadiz, KY.
Upon initial investigation, police say 48 year old Warren H. Dawson was driving a pickup truck southeast on Beechy Fork Road just west of 1041 Beechy Fork Road when he swerved to avoid two deer that entered the roadway. Dawson’s truck exited the left side of the road, traveled through a ditch and crashed into a culvert and rock face, which caused the vehicle to overturn onto its roof. Authorities indicate Dawson remained in the vehicle for approximately ten minutes before extricating himself.
State Police say family members who live in the area found the wreck and transported Dawson to the intersection of Maple Grove Road and KY-272 where they were met by EMS. He was transported from there by EMS to Trigg County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The collision investigation is continuing by KSP. KSP was assisted on the scene by the Trigg County Rescue Squad and Trigg County EMS.
