Traffic ADVISORY – Southbound Lane Restriction on US 41 Twin Bridges between Evansville & Henderson on TUESDAY, SEPT 4

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a SOUTHBOUND lane restriction on the US 41 Twin Bridges between Evansville and Henderson on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

The Henderson County Highway Maintenance Crew has been using a boom mower in the median area to cut grass and brush behind the median guardrail at the Kentucky end of the US 41 Twin Bridges. Due to debris being thrown into the passing lane and difficultly reaching all the way to the guardrail, the crew will have a southbound lane restriction on Tuesday starting at about 8:00 a.m., CDT, to facilitate this work.

Southbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the US 41 Twin Bridges. All southbound traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane in this work zone.

This work zone lane restriction along US 41 near the 19 mile marker is expected to be in place until about 2:30 p.m., Tuesday.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
