Traffic Advisory Reminder.
March 22nd, 2017
As a reminder, a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a NORTHBOUND work zone lane restriction on the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson starting Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
This daytime work zone on the northbound bridge is expected to be in place from approximately 8:30 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m., each day through Saturday, March 25. Initially, all traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this northbound work zone.
Northbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the US 41 Twin Bridges. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
The contractor has committed to doing as much work as possible underneath the bridge structure without restricting traffic. However, lane restrictions are required to facilitate much of the work on the northbound bridge.
Hall Contracting is the prime contractor on this $527,000 steel upgrade to both the southbound and northbound bridge approaches. This project has a target completion date of April 15, 2017.
Another contractor has some guardrail work to complete along the approaches to the US 41 Twin Bridges in coming weeks.
