TRAFFIC ADVISORY – NO LANE RESTRICTION TODAY ON SOUTHBOUND BI-STATE BRIDGE
March 14th, 2017
There will be no southbound lane restriction on the US 41 Twin Bridges TODAY.
The contractor has been doing prep work beneath the southbound bridge and planned to restrict traffic today. However, the contractor halted work to assist with emergency response to the Monday crash on the south end of the bridge.
That delayed some of the prep work, so the contractor will not need a work zone lane restriction today. The contractor hopes to be ready for a southbound lane restriction on Wednesday. However, the contractor will not know until early Wedesday.
The contractor has been attempting to do as much of the steel repair work as possible by working underneath the bridge without lane restrictions.
No work zone on the southbound bridge today. We hope to have an update on progress in the morning.
