KY 492 has reopened to traffic near the KY 2101 Intersection in UNION County. This is along KY 492 near the 6.1 mile marker. The roadway at this site has been closed since May 28th for construction of a new bridge over Wash Creek. The work also required KY 2101 to be closed. Some finish work may continue for a time in this work zone. Caution is required. Ragle, Inc, is the prime contractor on this bridge replacement project. This work zone will remain active for a few weeks after KY 492 reopens to allow landscaping and other finish work on the new bridge. This bridge replacement project is part of the Bridging Kentucky Program aimed at replacing or rehabilitating 1,000 critical bridges over a 6 year period.
