We have the following UPDATES on the US 41 Twin Bridges Work Zone for THIS WEEK….

A contractor working on the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson and Evansville has completed all portions of the work that required NIGHT lane restrictions. The contractor does not anticipate any further NIGHT lane restrictions will be required. The remaining work can be completed by working below the bridge structure.

As part of ongoing efforts to prepare for a major rehab project along US 41 between Henderson and Evansville starting in early-May, there will be a daytime lane restriction on the US 41 Twin Bridges on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

This daytime lane restriction on Tuesday is to allow an inspection of recently installed navigation lights and an inspection of ongoing repairs.

Northbound motorists traveling the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson and Evansville should be prepared to encounter a work zone lane restriction starting at approximately 8:30 a.m., CDT, on Tuesday morning. This daytime work zone is expected to be in place for 2 to 3 hours.

Once the inspection work is completed on the northbound bridge, the work zone lane restriction will move to the southbound bridge. This move to the southbound bridge is expected to take place between about 11:00 a.m. and 12 Noon, on Tuesday. The southbound work zone lane restriction is expected to be in place for 2 to 3 hours.

All traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane on Tuesday.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the Twin Bridges during the day on Tuesday.

Another contractor has some guardrail work to complete along the approaches to the US 41 Twin Bridges in coming weeks.
