Traffic ADVISORY – brief northbound lane restriction at the north end of the US 41 Henderson Strip on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
February 21st, 2017
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a brief northbound lane restriction at the north end of the US 41 Henderson Strip on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
This daytime lane restriction will run from US 41 milepoint 17.5 to milepoint 18.5. This is along the north end of the US 41 Henderson Strip running from near the entrance to Audubon State Park to near the Stratman Road/Wolf Hills Road intersection. The northbound work zone is to allow the removal of trash and numerous items that have been illegally dumped along the US 41 right-of-way in this area.
This lane restriction for northbound traffic is about a mile south of the US 41 Twin Bridges. All northbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.
This daytime lane restriction for northbound traffic is expected to go up about 9 a.m., CST, Wednesday. It is expected to be in place for about two hours.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) are planning a major 3-year rehabilitation project along the US 41 Corridor between the US 41 Twin Bridges and the I-69 Interchange at the south edge of Evansville. This joint project includes a deck overlay on the southbound bridge. For more information go to: http://www.in.gov/indot/3459.htm
