Three incidents of shots fired being investigated in Daviess Co.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and seeking information on three incidents of shots fired and drive-by shootings that have occurred in the last three days.

On Saturday night, October 29th, around 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., police say shots were fired into the unoccupied business, “Del’s Diner”, located on HWY 60 W in Stanley.

Police report about four to five minutes later, residents in the 300 block of HWY 1554 reported that someone had fired at least five rounds into their home while they were inside the residence. Deputies indicate no one was injured.

On Tuesday, November 1st, around 8:45 p.m., deputies say residents in the 6000 block of W. 5th Street, reported gun shots were fired from a passing vehicle. Investigators say they were unable to determine if any of the reported shots entered any residence or building in that area.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone having information on any of the above incidents to call them, your local law enforcement agency, or Crime Stoppers.
