State Seeking Bids for Surplus Properties, Including Henderson Community and Technical College Bldg.

NEWS RELEASE

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 13, 2016) – The Department for Facilities and Support Services is looking for interested bidders for several properties that have been deemed surplus, including the tallest building in Frankfort, the Capital Plaza Tower.

Other properties up for bid include the Hoge House in downtown Frankfort and a 24,000 square foot Henderson Community and Technical College classroom/shop building in Henderson.

Bids for the Capital Plaza Tower (CPT) will be opened at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at the Office of Real Properties, 403 Wapping Street, Frankfort, Ky. The overall CPT property consists of a  365,700+/-  square foot, 25-story office tower, 11,500+/-  square feet of office space fronting on Wilkinson  Boulevard, and a  parking  garage  consisting  of  767+/- parking  spaces—all of which are situated  on  approximately 7.975 acres located at the corner  of  Wilkinson  and  Mero Streets in Frankfort.

A site visit is scheduled for tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon for interested bidders.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) will open sealed bids on July 21 for a 24,000 square foot building located on approximately .7 acres at 700 Pennell Street in Henderson, Ky. The opening will be at 2 p.m. at KCTCS Office of Facilities Support Services, 300 North Main Street, Versailles, Ky.

Bids for the Hoge House, located at 302 Wilkinson Street, Frankfort, will be opened at 11 a.m. on July 20 at the Office of Real Properties. The 2,560 square foot house sits on approximately 0.29 acres and has been used both as residential and office space.
