Softball Tournament Benefit will be held in Uniontown to raise funds for 2 UCHS students injured in bad wreck

A Co-Ed Softball Benefit Tournament will be held this weekend to raise funds for two Union County High School students who were critically injured in an automobile accident last month.

Jennie Hedgepath tells WMSK News the tournament is to help raise funds for medical bills for her son Daniel and Ryan Coker as both families face a long difficult road ahead.

However, she notes the two 16 year old boys are improving.

She adds that the community has been compassionate and supportive of the boys and families.

She says the co-ed softball tournament, organized by Stephanie Hall and Tiffany Jackson will be held Saturday.

Mrs. Hedgepath says Stephanie Hall has put a lot of time into organizing this event.

Hall told WMSK this week that there are 10 teams playing in the “Run It Out For Ryan And Daniel” Co-Ed Softball  Tournament Benefit Saturday in Uniontown and they will also have many concessions and raffle items to help raise funds.

Mrs. Hedgepath also wants to thank the community for their prayers and kind words, and ask for everyone to continue to keep the two Union County High School Juniors in your prayers.
