Silver Bells & the Season of Giving

The District Long Term Care Ombudsman Program invites individuals and organizations in the GRADD area to contribute to the 2020 Silver Bells project.

Due to COVID-19, monetary donations are requested for the purchase of items to fill holiday gift bags for delivery to two personal care homes in the seven-county GRADD region at Christmas time.  To ensure timely delivery of the gift bags, donations are requested in the GRADD office by December 11, 2020, if possible.

Your donations will be used to purchase items in bulk, such as snack cakes, chap stick, chips, snack crackers, hand lotion, socks, gloves, puzzle books, and fruit.

Heather Mullican, District Long Term Care Ombudsman, emphasizes, “Pandemic restrictions have been especially difficult on long-term care residents, and we would like to bring awareness to the community while also brightening the holidays for the residents we serve.”

Checks can be written to GRADD and mailed to 300 GRADD Way, Owensboro, KY 42301 or placed in the mail drop box in front of the GRADD building.  Please be sure to designate that the donation is for Silver Bells in the memo line and/or on the envelope.

Thank you for your continued support of this program!
